| Dave Mclean
(top left: lead
vocals and rhythm guitar), Andy D'urso
(second left: lead guitar and backing vocals) and Tony
'Stavros' Brusallis (top right: drums and backing vocals) go way
back to
the 80s when
they played together in metal bands like In Pursuit, The Faith
and Traitor's Gate, and were rivals in bands like Monroe and
Tokyo-Rose. Meanwhile Tony 'Sheppy' Shepherd (bass) was thrashing it up in Swansea with bands like Swain, Season and Cremhater. While stardom may have eluded them, the boys can still call on some great experience gigging across the UK, supporting big name bands and playing legendary venues and festivals. It's this wealth of experience that makes WarDance one of the best rock covers bands on the curcuit. The band's influences are many and varied, from the classic 70s rock and metal of bands like Led Zeppelin, Judas Priest, Van Halen and AC/DC, to the latterday grooves of bands like Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters and Alice in Chains. |
The
band is totally
self-sufficient and the boys have their own PA and lighting system.
Scientists
at the University of Rock and Metal have estimated that, in the event
of a nuclear holocaust or major ecological disaster, WarDance could
survive underground for over 50 years before they exhausted their
supply of riffs and were forced to eat each other. [Click HERE for the secret history - shameful pics from the archives] ![]() |
